Zach Witkoff, Co-Founder of World Liberty Financial, said that Changpeng Zhao has achieved exceptional entrepreneurial success and is now dedicating his efforts to charitable causes and reforming the education system. This statement was made during an interview.

"He's obviously a guy that's built an incredible business," said Witkoff in a YouTube video. "I'll also add that he's quite charitable. He spends his life now, on education and fixing the broken education system."

Changpeng "CZ" Zhao has recently launched Giggle Academy, a nonprofit, gamified online education platform offering free interactive learning for underprivileged children from grades one through twelve. The platform integrates adaptive technologies and gamification, covering core academic subjects as well as modern topics like finance, artificial intelligence (AI), and blockchain. It even leverages blockchain-based tokens for student recognition. Zhao's initiative marks a pivot to leveraging technology for global educational access, reflecting a growing trend of tech entrepreneurs turning toward philanthropic solutions.

In February 2025, Zhao donated approximately $125,000 USD in Binance Coin (BNB) to help victims of a cryptocurrency rug-pull. Unexpectedly, his donation address was flooded with contributions from the crypto community—raising the total to over $1 million USD. He intends to pass on these funds to charity or use them for liquidity support. This illustrates both the scale of his personal contributions and the ripple effect they triggered in the community.

Between October 2024 and June 2025, Zhao’s philanthropic initiatives impacted over 69,360 people across Sudan, Kenya, Thailand, and Myanmar through direct support programs addressing food insecurity, medical care, and community health. In Sudan alone, 10 Emergency Response Rooms provided life-saving aid to 33,200 individuals. In Kenya, HIV and tuberculosis (TB) prevention programs supported 287 children and trained TB champions across 13 sub-counties. In Thailand and Myanmar, Zhao's funding enabled 15 life-saving surgeries, 747 inpatient admissions, and consistent health care for thousands of displaced refugees.
