Amazon has announced that Amazon Web Services (AWS) has entered a multi-year collaboration with Globe Telecom. The partnership aims to advance digital transformation through cloud modernization, AI-driven customer experiences, and enhanced network innovation.

According to Globe’s official press release, this collaboration marks a significant step in Globe’s long-term effort to strengthen its position as the Philippines’ leading digital platform. The partnership is set to modernize Globe’s infrastructure, enhance customer experiences, and enable real-time data-driven operations powered by AWS technologies. AWS and Globe will work together on multiple initiatives to expand cloud infrastructure, transform network systems, and drive AI-led innovation in customer engagement.

The announcement outlines five key focus areas: cloud infrastructure modernization, enhanced customer experience, network innovation, real-time operations, and AI-led customer experience transformation. Globe plans to expand its cloud footprint with AWS to improve network resiliency and platform engineering while leveraging AWS AI for intelligent voicebots and customer lifecycle management systems. The collaboration also aims to implement advanced consent and preference management systems for more personalized experiences for millions of Filipino users.

As reported by BusinessWorld Philippines, AWS’s Country Manager Precious Lim emphasized that the initiative supports Globe’s "bold vision for cloud-enabled customer experiences," highlighting AWS’s role in helping the telecom giant deliver innovative services to millions of subscribers. Globe’s President and CEO Carl Cruz said that the partnership will empower Filipinos with AI-powered tools and improve operational efficiency through automation. The partnership will utilize AWS compute, storage, and analytics services to advance digital inclusion and innovation across the country.

Founded in 2006, Amazon Web Services is described as the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform. It offers over 240 services across compute, storage, databases, AI, machine learning, and networking. According to AWS's official site, it supports millions of customers globally including leading enterprises, startups, and public sector organizations. AWS operates from 120 Availability Zones across 38 geographic regions with plans for continued global expansion.
