USARPAC deputy commander visits Cambodia for military talks

Major General Scott A. Winter, Deputy Commanding General for Strategy and Plans of the U.S. Army Pacific, visited Cambodia on February 25, 2025. During his visit, Maj. Gen. Winter engaged in discussions with Cambodian military leaders.

In Phnom Penh, he met with Lt. General Suon Samnang, chairman of the Military Cooperation Coordination Group. They discussed strategic cooperation and security assistance between the two countries' military forces.

Maj. Gen. Winter also met with alumni from the Professional Military Education program to commend them for applying their U.S.-acquired training back home.

Additionally, he toured the Peace Keeping Operations center in Kampong Speu Province to explore potential collaboration opportunities.

This visit by Maj. Gen. Winter came shortly after a trip by General Ronald P. Clark, Commanding General of the U.S. Army Pacific, on February 24, 2025.
