According to U.S. Mission to the United Nations Spokesperson Nate Evans, "Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield reaffirmed the United States’ unwavering support for the Haitian people, including through continued provision of humanitarian, development, economic, and security assistance."
Both Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield and Prime Minister Henry emphasized the importance of deploying a UN-authorized Multinational Security Support mission. This initiative aims to assist the Haitian National Police in restoring peace and security while addressing Haiti's ongoing humanitarian crisis.
