On March 7, in Warsaw's Ochota district, a ceremony was held to commemorate the heroism of Emanuel Ringelblum and the Wolski and Wysocki families. The event marked the 75th anniversary of their courageous actions during World War II. It was organized by the Jewish Historical Institute and attended by various dignitaries, including Jarosław Sellin, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, along with representatives from Jewish organizations, cultural institutions, and members of the diplomatic corps.

Emanuel Ringelblum was a prominent Jewish-Polish historian and social activist who founded the underground Warsaw Ghetto Archive known as "Oneg Shabbat." This archive clandestinely documented the lives of Jews in the Ghetto during German occupation. For two years, members of the Wolski and Wysocki families provided refuge to Ringelblum, his family, and 31 other Jews in an underground bunker beneath their garden greenhouse at 81 Grojecka Street in Ochota.

The hideout bunker, named "Krysia," was constructed by Mieczysław Wolski at age 32. His mother Małgorzata, along with his sisters Halina and Wanda Wolska, supported those hiding by providing food and maintaining contact with the outside world. Janusz Wysocki, Mieczysław's nephew, also played a role in aiding them. In March 1944, Germans discovered and destroyed the bunker. All 34 people sheltered there were killed, including Ringelblum and his family. Mieczysław and Janusz were executed as well; only Małgorzata and her daughters survived.

In recognition of their bravery, Małgorzata, Mieczysław, Halina, Wanda Wolski, and Janusz Wysocki were honored as Righteous Among the Nations in 1989.
