The U.S. Embassy in Harare and ISACA have celebrated the graduation of 32 Zimbabweans who completed training in blockchain, artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), and cloud computing. The event was presented as a significant step for Zimbabwe’s digital transformation.
Ambassador Tremont delivered the keynote address at the ceremony, highlighting the broader impact of workforce development. “Workforce development is not just a local priority; it is a global imperative. When we equip individuals with the skills to thrive in the digital economy, we foster trusted international partnerships, open new markets, and reinforce the values of transparency, excellence, and opportunity that define the U.S. innovation landscape,” he stated.
The group of graduates includes professionals, entrepreneurs, and students from various backgrounds. Their training was made possible through ISACA’s technical expertise and support from the U.S. Embassy in Harare. The initiative aims to prepare participants for roles in technology fields that are increasingly important worldwide.
This joint effort reflects ongoing work by the U.S. Embassy to promote education and technology access within Zimbabwean communities. The program aligns with efforts to support economic growth through skills development in areas such as blockchain and AI.
As these graduates enter Zimbabwe’s tech sector, they represent a new wave of talent equipped to engage with emerging technologies and contribute to international cooperation.
