Veriff, an identity verification partner for some of the world's biggest digital companies, recently announced the addition of Javier Ortega as its chief revenue officer.
The company, which supports government-issued IDs from more than 230 countries and territories, announced Ortega's appointment in a Jan. 31 press release.
"Veriff's amazing team and its pursuit of making the internet a safer place were key factors in my decision to join the company," Ortega said in the release. "Veriff has a strong foothold in a market that continues to expand, which is rare. Throughout my career, I've loved helping companies grow, and I am excited to continue on this path at Veriff."
Ortega will develop and execute Veriff’s "global go-to-market strategy," the release stated. According to his Linkedin profile, Ortega brings "over 20 years of experience in sales and business development," having held senior positions at global technology companies such as Dropbox, where he spent seven years.
He will also be responsible for leading the revenue and sales functions, while playing a key role in scaling the company, the release stated.
"Javier's experience in scaling organizations' go-to-market strategies and building high-performance teams will bolster the Veriff team," Kaarel Kotkas, Veriff founder and CEO, said in the release. "As the identity verification landscape continues to evolve at a rapid pace, Javier will play a critical role in Veriff's next phase of market expansion. I am super excited to have Javier's high energy in our global leadership team as we continue to meet changing IDV demands."
