Clari has made various investments to expand its growth across the Asian Pacific. The top-revenue company also brought in Abdul Javed as its designated vice president of sales in the region, according to a press release.

“As a sales leader and Clari user for over four years, I know firsthand the power of Clari in delivering predictable revenue for businesses,” Javed said in the release. “Our powerful data and insights are a game-changer for all revenue professionals. Over 500 companies around the world use Clari to run their end-to-end revenue process and I’m excited to introduce this secret weapon to more companies in Australia and beyond.”

Javed, based in Sydney, will be responsible for expanding Clari’s team in Australia and making significant contributions to the APAC region. He will also work with clients looking to transform their operational systems into software- and data-driven business processes.

Bringing in nearly a decade of U.S. and Asian-based sales experience, the executive currently manages over 4,000 users in the region. He most recently served as regional sales director for APAC at AppDynamics, a press release reported. During his four-year tenure with the computer software company, the executive built a team specializing in renewals, sales and business development.

According to a recent press release, Clari’s APAC expansion follows a recent closing on its $225 million Series F investment round, led by Blackstone, and its $150 million Series E round in March of last year. The investments have brought the company’s valuation up to $375 million by more than four times last year’s sum.

The company has also expanded its staff, doubling it to more than 600 since the beginning of 2021. It also plans to hire an additional 300 employees later on this year.

“The last year has been a remarkable period of growth for Clari, unlike anything I’ve experienced in my career,” co-founder and CEO of Clari, Andy Byrne, said in a release. “Clari is the only platform that runs the entire end-to-end revenue process, and skyrocketing demand has resulted in accelerated momentum that now positions us to enter a new phase of international expansion with Asia-Pacific as a cornerstone.”

Clari currently serves more than 4,000 users across China, Japan, Singapore and India. The company’s APAC operations include Australia, where the company collaborated with the Australian Trade and Investment Commission to facilitate the expansion. The territory ranked among the top 15 strongest startup ecosystems related to Clari’s industry.

“Australia remains a safe, stable destination for investment. We have a resilient economy and enjoy strong trade ties with the world,” Australia’s Consul-General and Senior Trade Commissioner in San Francisco, Nick Nichles, said in the release. “We look forward to continuing to work with Clari and wish the company every success as it begins its Asia-Pacific journey.”
