Binance Charity has announced a pledge of $200,000 to the Thai Red Cross Society. This donation aims to assist in delivering emergency supplies and supporting early recovery efforts for communities affected by severe flooding in Southern Thailand.
According to reports, severe monsoon rains and a stalled weather system in November 2025 led to record rainfall in Southern Thailand. Hat Yai experienced approximately 335 mm of rain in one day, marking some of the highest levels recorded in centuries. The resulting widespread flooding impacted at least nine to twelve provinces, affecting millions and displacing tens of thousands. Major infrastructure was submerged, with the crisis described as one of the region's worst in decades.
The donation from Binance Charity, amounting to about 6.4 million Thai baht, will support urgent humanitarian needs following the flooding. Aid will be deployed immediately through the Red Cross’s volunteer network and relief centers, providing emergency supplies and facilitating early recovery efforts. This includes food, clean water, hygiene kits, and temporary shelter for affected families.
Recently, Binance Charity also committed HKD 10 million to The Community Chest’s Tai Po Fire Relief Fund after a devastating five-alarm blaze at Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po, Hong Kong. The donation is intended to provide rapid financial support so displaced families can secure basic needs and begin rebuilding their lives.
Binance Charity serves as the philanthropic arm of Binance and has committed over $23 million to fund more than 30 global projects. It has assisted over two million people across more than 54 countries by utilizing blockchain technology for transparent and direct giving.
