Yi He, recently appointed Co-CEO of Binance, emphasized her commitment to user protection and maintaining community trust while adopting a "chief customer service" mindset as the company aims to reach 1 billion users. She expressed these priorities during her speech at Binance Blockchain Week in Dubai.
"I'm still your chief customer service officer," said He, Co-Founder & Co-CEO. "So many people trust Binance. I'm lucky to take that responsibility. We try our best to protect our users."
At the event on December 3, 2025, Binance announced that co-founder Yi He would serve as Co-CEO alongside Richard Teng. This move formalizes a shared leadership model intended to support the exchange's growth. The announcement was made at Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena during the conference, highlighting responsible growth and community focus as the company's user base approaches 300 million globally.
According to CEO Richard Teng, Binance's community has grown significantly, reaching over 300 million registered users worldwide by early December 2025. This figure marks an increase from approximately 170 million at the beginning of last year and aligns with Yi He's vision for expanding Binance's products, fiat on-ramps, and regional coverage toward a one-billion-user goal.
Binance has also expanded its compliance workforce substantially, aiming for 645 full-time compliance employees by year-end—a 34% increase from the previous year. More than 1,000 individuals, including contractors, are focused on compliance functions. This expansion reflects ongoing investment in anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorism financing (CTF) controls that align with Yi He's focus on user protection and trust.
Yi He co-founded Binance in 2017 and previously served as Chief Customer Service Officer. Her promotion to Co-CEO alongside Richard Teng was announced during Binance's recent Blockchain Week amid the company's global expansion and regulatory engagement efforts. Her influence on Binance’s strategy and community ethos continues to be significant as it scales.
