Aster has recently emerged as a significant BSC-USDT whale. According to Arkham Intelligence data, its "AstherusVault" wallet has become the second-largest holder behind a Binance hot wallet. CryptoSlate reports that the wallet held about $131 million in USDT compared to Binance’s $236 million. This development gained attention after Zhao publicly praised Aster’s token launch, positioning Aster as a rising force in BNB Chain’s stablecoin economy.
BSC-USDT remains concentrated among large wallets despite millions of small holders. According to BscScan data, as of September 22, 2025, Binance-Peg USDT had about 37.7 million holders with a market cap near $172 billion on BNB Chain. Arkham analysis cited by CryptoSlate highlights Binance’s hot wallet holding $236 million and Aster’s wallet $131 million, indicating top-heavy distribution alongside retail adoption.
Adoption of Binance-bridged USDT (BSC-USDT) has accelerated in 2025 with strong growth in stablecoin supply. CryptoDnes citing CoinMarketCap reports that stablecoin balances on BNB Chain rose about 58% year-to-date to $11.1 billion, while Kaiko reported sustained increases in stablecoin trading activity. These trends demonstrate BSC-USDT’s growing role in cross-chain liquidity and on-chain finance.
