Amazon Music has announced a partnership with the artist Bad Bunny to highlight Puerto Rico, starting with a livestream of his "No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí: Una Más" concert on September 20 from San Juan's José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum.
Bad Bunny's concert residency in San Juan has been significant for Latin music. According to Billboard, the nine exclusive shows at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum were only available to Puerto Rican residents. The demand far exceeded supply, underscoring the artist's commitment to his home island. The upcoming livestream of his final performance will extend this residency to a global audience, marking the first time these shows will be broadcast worldwide.
The collaboration with Amazon aims to create long-term community impact. As reported by Variety, Amazon, Fundación Rimas, and Fundación Good Bunny are developing initiatives to enhance STEM education for Puerto Rican students, improve food access through agricultural support, and boost local businesses via Amazon’s "comPRa Local" storefront featuring products made in Puerto Rico. These programs represent a comprehensive approach that integrates culture, commerce, and social impact.
Amazon also has a history of disaster relief and infrastructure investment on the island. According to About Amazon, the company delivered emergency supplies such as tents and baby formula following Hurricane Maria in 2017. This marked the first use of Amazon Air for humanitarian purposes. Since then, Amazon has delivered over 25 million relief supplies globally and recently began construction on its first last-mile delivery station in the Caribbean, creating jobs and strengthening Puerto Rico’s logistics network.
Amazon is one of the world's largest technology companies, operating across e-commerce, logistics, cloud computing, and entertainment sectors. According to its official website, Amazon employs hundreds of thousands globally and adheres to guiding principles of customer obsession, innovation, and long-term thinking. Its mission is said as being Earth’s most customer-centric company, best employer, and safest place to work.
