Sixth annual WIBA Awards comes to Cannes Film Festival

The World Influencers and Bloggers Awards (WIBA) is set to take place on May 24 at Hotel Martinez in Cannes, France. The event honors various social media personalities with accolades such as Best Pet Influencer and Best Beauty Influencer.

Administered by the World Influencers Association, WIBA is globally recognized as a prestigious award for leading opinion leaders worldwide, according to the organization's website. This year marks the sixth time the event has been held in Cannes. Candidates can either be nominated by WIBA or apply for nomination themselves. Additionally, joining the World Influencers Association, headquartered in Monaco, offers another avenue for influencers and bloggers to potentially receive a nomination.

Mariia Grazhina Chaplin, CEO of WIBA, announced the sixth edition of the awards in a news release. She said, "I am proud to announce the sixth edition of the WIBA Awards. As this distinctive event coincides with the Cannes Film Festival, title holders and influencers not only entertain their audiences with memorable images but also inform them about the latest developments in cinema from the industry’s most significant platform. As we honor the Crème de la Crème of Right Now, we are also nurturing opinion leaders and trendsetters of Tomorrow. Later in 2024, we plan to bring WIBA events to the United States and Middle East to further our educational mission."

Previous recipients of these awards include prominent figures such as Maye Musk who was named "World’s Most Influential Woman," Richard Orlinski titled "Most Influential Artist of the Decade," along with other internet personalities like Khaby Lame, Nusret Gökçe, Ellen Von Unwerth, Gianluca Vacchi, Kat Graham, Kelly Rutherford, Coco Rocha according to information on WIBA's title holders web page.

The process of selecting winners for the WIBA Trophy involves online voting and votes from advisory board members. This process allows the public to support brands, businesses, and their impacts, making the WIBA Trophy a unique award.
