The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) Board has announced it will hold a meeting on Thursday, September 18, starting at 10 a.m. Eastern Time. According to the NCUA, "Items on the agenda include a briefing on the Share Insurance Fund."
The meeting will take place at the agency’s headquarters located at 1775 Duke Street in Alexandria, Virginia. The agency noted that visitors are encouraged to register in advance if they wish to attend in person and must use the Visitor Center entrance on Diagonal Road.
For those unable to attend in person, NCUA’s open Board meetings are available via livestream on both the NCUA’s website and its YouTube channel. The agency also makes copies of Board memorandums and other documents related to agenda items accessible online at the start of each meeting.
As stated by the NCUA, "The NCUA is the independent federal agency created by the U.S. Congress to regulate, charter and supervise federal credit unions. With the backing of the full faith and credit of the United States, the NCUA operates and manages the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund, insuring the deposits of more than 143 million account holders in all federal credit unions and most state-chartered credit unions."
