The G7 Foreign Ministers, alongside the High Representative of the European Union, have issued a statement regarding recent developments in the Middle East. The meeting took place in The Hague on June 25, 2025, where they discussed issues concerning Iran and its regional impact.

In their statement, the ministers expressed support for a ceasefire between Israel and Iran announced by U.S. President Trump. They urged all involved parties to avoid actions that could lead to further destabilization in the region.

The ministers acknowledged Qatar's role in facilitating the ceasefire and extended solidarity to both Qatar and Iraq following strikes by Iran and its proxies. Efforts towards regional stabilization and de-escalation were welcomed.

The G7 reaffirmed their stance against Iran acquiring nuclear weapons and called on Tehran to halt any enrichment activities deemed unjustified. They emphasized the importance of resuming negotiations for a comprehensive agreement addressing Iran’s nuclear program.

Iran was urged to fully cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) as part of its safeguards obligations. This includes providing verifiable information about all nuclear materials within its borders and granting access to IAEA inspectors. The ministers condemned Iranian calls for arresting or executing IAEA Director General Grossi.

The Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) was highlighted as crucial to global non-proliferation efforts, with an emphasis on Iran fulfilling its obligations under this treaty.

Finally, commitment to peace in the Middle East was reiterated, along with affirmations of Israel's right to self-defense and security support from G7 nations.
