This authority is deemed crucial for Member States to enforce the embargo and curb widespread weapons trafficking, a key priority outlined by this Council. The U.S. looks forward to continued discussions with Libyan authorities regarding future arrangements.
Acknowledgment was extended to the EU Naval Force Operation IRINI for dedicating resources to monitor and disrupt illicit activities off Libya's coast. The operation plays an essential role in information-sharing, particularly with the Libya Panel of Experts.
