A delegation from the United States Congress, led by House Representative Bruce Westerman (R-AR), completed a visit to Taiwan from May 27 to May 29, 2025. The visit was part of a broader tour of the Indo-Pacific region.
The delegation included Representatives Sarah Elfreth (D-MD), Harriet Hageman (R-WY), Celeste Maloy (R-UT), and Nick Begich (R-AK). During their stay in Taiwan, they engaged in discussions with President Lai Ching-te, Vice President Hsiao Bi-khim, and Foreign Minister Lin Chia-lung.
