Ambassador Lisa Johnson recently hosted a reception at her residence to honor the Lebanese delegation attending the SelectUSA 2025 Investment Summit. The summit, scheduled for May 11-14 in Maryland, is the largest annual event aimed at promoting Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the United States. It brings together international investors, U.S. state and local representatives, and government officials to facilitate investment in the U.S. economy.
The event is organized by the U.S. Department of Commerce, which also provides information and services to assist foreign investors in navigating the process of investing in the United States.
The Lebanese delegation includes investors from various sectors such as Information & Communication Technology, Business & Professional Services, Energy, Financial Services, Food & Beverage, Design and Construction, and Equipment and Machinery.
During her remarks, Ambassador Johnson expressed gratitude to the delegation members for their participation in the summit. She highlighted "the importance of U.S-Lebanon business and economic ties."
