Joey R. Hood U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Tunisia | U.S. Embassy in Tunisia

The U.S. Embassy in Tunis has released a request for advertisement concerning the renovation project for a recreation center requiring specific ceramic tiles. It is seeking quotations from vendors for floor and wall tiles with particular quantities and dimensions. The products specified include the MIRO FUOCO floor tile at 250 square meters, and HOWARD GREY and KLEN GREY wall tiles at 80 and 640 square meters, respectively.

The embassy has outlined the submission process for these bids, requiring both technical and financial offers to be submitted in separate sealed envelopes. The technical offer must include detailed specifications, proof of business establishment, SAM registration, references, a signed National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), and compliance with anti-discrimination certifications. The financial offers are expected to be VAT-free, signed, and stamped.

Submissions must be sent to the American Embassy in Tunis by May 14, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Late proposals will not be accepted. It is also noted by the Embassy that submitting a proposal does not guarantee an award, as the U.S. government plans to select the lowest-priced, technically qualified offer.

Entities seeking to participate must be registered on SAM.gov, as a contract cannot be awarded without this registration. If not registered, companies are advised to start the process immediately. Documents related to compliance with federal anti-discrimination laws and NDAA regulations must also be certified and returned promptly.

Additionally, the Confirmation of Compliance requires vendors to adhere to the President's Executive Order on ending illegal discrimination and restoring merit-based opportunities.

Online resources for further requirements and instructions are provided by the Embassy, including links for certification and SAM.gov registration.
