The U.S. Embassy in Santo Domingo, under the U.S. Department of State's Public Diplomacy Section, has announced the availability of funding through its Public Diplomacy Grants Program. This annual program aims to reinforce cultural, educational, professional, and scientific ties between the United States and the Dominican Republic through various collaborative initiatives.

Funding for the program, officially titled "U.S. Embassy Santo Domingo – PAS Annual Program Statement," can range from a minimum of $5,000 to a maximum of $50,000 per award, contingent on the availability of funds. The program's focus is to include American cultural elements or connections with American experts or organizations to enhance understanding of U.S. policies and perspectives.

Proposals are encouraged in several key areas, such as enhancing security and safety, promoting shared prosperity, and strengthening partnerships. Eligible projects may involve faculty and student exchanges, entrepreneurship encouragement, civil society empowerment, English teaching capacity building, and initiatives supporting transparency and investigative journalism.

Applications are open to registered, not-for-profit organizations, individuals, and educational institutions from both the United States and the Dominican Republic. There is no requirement for cost sharing, although strict eligibility criteria apply, including the necessity for organizations to possess a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) from SAM.gov.

The deadline for proposal submissions is July 31, 2025. Proposals will be reviewed by a Merit Review Committee based on the quality and feasibility of the ideas, alignment with embassy priorities, and budget justification. Notification of funding decisions will be communicated via email.

Questions regarding the application process can be directed to SantoDomingoGrants@state.gov. The Department of State emphasizes that this announcement does not imply any commitment to fund submissions or cover costs related to proposal preparation.
