The Department of State has announced that Massad Boulos has been appointed as the Senior Advisor for Africa. In addition to this role, Boulos continues to serve as Senior Advisor to the President on Arab and Middle Eastern Affairs.
Boulos, alongside Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs Corina Sanders, is set to visit the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, Kenya, and Uganda starting on April 3. These meetings are part of an effort to engage with Heads of State and business leaders, aiming to foster durable peace in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo and encourage U.S. private sector investment in the region.
