The U.S. Embassy in Dakar has announced a Town Hall Meeting scheduled for April 10, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The event will be hosted by Ambassador Michael Raynor and is open to U.S. citizens residing in Senegal along with their immediate family members.

The meeting aims to provide information on consular services and share best practices for safety and security while living abroad. Adult U.S. citizens and parents of U.S. citizen children are encouraged to attend.

Reservations are mandatory for attendance. Interested individuals must RSVP by April 4th by emailing DakarACSTownHall@state.gov with the necessary details including full name, date of birth, U.S. passport number, and email address for the U.S. citizen guest as well as relevant information for any accompanying non-citizen spouses or parents.

It is noted that non-citizen parents of a U.S. citizen child may attend without bringing the child. All attendees are required to present a valid photo ID upon entry.

The embassy also reminds all U.S. citizens to enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) at STEP.STATE.GOV to receive regular travel alerts, emergency updates, and local warnings from the embassy.
