On March 12, 2025, six American professionals will begin supporting local entrepreneurs and communities in Botswana through the United States Peace Corps’ Response Volunteer Program. These volunteers bring expertise in various fields to assist with economic growth efforts.

The Peace Corps Response Volunteer program allows American experts to temporarily leave their careers in the U.S. to share specialized knowledge and skills with local partners or help develop short-term projects. The volunteers will be sworn into service by U.S. Ambassador to Botswana Howard A. Van Vranken during a ceremony on March 12, which is open to the media.

For those interested in attending the ceremony, contact Keorenget@state.gov and mbanyatsi@peacecorps.gov.
