Hiroshi Igarashi, President and Global CEO of Japanese advertising giant Dentsu Group Inc., said the company’s “One Dentsu” model has transformed how the company operates and serves its clients.
His comments came after Dentsu was recognized as the top holding company from the Asia-Pacific region in the Global Creative Rankings 2024.
“The One Dentsu model is not just an internal restructuring—it is a fundamental transformation in how we operate as a company and how we serve our clients worldwide," Igarashi told Globe Banner. "Historically, the challenge for large-scale marketing and consulting firms has been the ability to deliver integrated solutions while maintaining agility and innovation."
"Too often, firms grow through acquisition but fail to unify their operations, leading to inefficiencies, redundancies, and a fragmented client experience," Igarashi said. "This is precisely the issue that One Dentsu solves.”
The company's "One Dentsu" vision aims to unify its diverse business units under a single, seamless structure to enhance collaboration, agility, and client service. As part of the company's recently announced Mid-Term Management Plan for 2025-2027, the initiative focuses on strengthening Dentsu’s global market presence, particularly in key regions such as Japan and the United States, while boosting its capabilities in media and integrated growth solutions.. The company has set ambitious financial targets, including 4% organic growth and an operating margin of 16-17% by fiscal year 2027.
The Global Create Rankings were announced in Feb. 2025 by The One Club for Creativity, a non-profit organization based in New York that supports and celebrates the global creative community.
The company's ranking is based on award points accumulated from several creative awards organized by The One Club. Dentsu also achieved fifth place in the global rankings.
Additionally, Dentsu Inc., a major group company within Dentsu, secured the number one spot as an agency in the Asia-Pacific region and ranked sixth globally.
The award points are derived from eight awards organized by The One Club, including three global awards: The One Show, ADC Awards, and TDC Awards. Five regional and city awards such as ONE Asia Creative Awards and ADC Europe Awards also contribute to these points. Points are allocated according to the size of each award.
