The U.S. Embassy is set to conduct an online e-auction to sell surplus government property. The auction will commence on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., concluding on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at 9:00 p.m.
Items available for bidding include used household appliances, furniture, and various equipment. Interested parties can visit https://online-auction.state.gov/ and search for the Chisinau, MD link to view the auction lots along with item photos and descriptions. The website provides information on setting up an auction account and details about the e-auction instructions and rules. Participants are advised to read all instructions carefully and adhere strictly to the guidelines.
Upon the close of the e-auction, winning bidders will receive automatic email notifications containing specific payment details. Items won in the auction can be collected from the U.S. Embassy Warehouse located at 21/3 Petricani St. (“UNIVERSCOM” Warehouse #1) on Tuesday, March 4, or Wednesday, March 5 between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Bidders must present payment confirmation when picking up items. All payments and collections must be completed by the dates specified in the "Winning Bidder" email. Failure to pay for or collect items may result in losing eligibility for future auctions. Purchasers are responsible for providing their own transportation and laborers for moving purchased items as the U.S. Embassy will not deliver or assist in transporting any items.
All sales are final with no refunds offered as all items are sold “as is.”
