Heather Rogers Deputy Chief of Mission | U.S. Embassy in Slovakia

U.S. citizens are invited to an open house event at the U.S. Embassy in Bratislava on September 17, 2024, from 4:00 to 5:30 PM. The event will feature representatives from the Warsaw-based Federal Benefits Unit (FBU), Deputy Chief of Mission Heather Rogers, and the U.S. Consul.

The gathering aims to provide information about the services offered by these offices and introduce Deputy Chief of Mission Heather Rogers to the community. Additionally, it will cover voting procedures for U.S. citizens living abroad ahead of the upcoming general election.

Consular staff will be available to assist with various voting-related tasks such as sharing information about absentee ballots, accepting completed Federal Post Card Application documents, and offering write-in ballots if necessary. They will also provide guidance on voter registration for those who have not yet registered.

Attendees are asked to RSVP by September 13, 2024, via email at BratislavaACS@state.gov, including names, dates of birth, and passport numbers of those attending. Attendees should bring their passports for identification and avoid bringing large bags or liquids due to security measures.

Appointments with Social Security Administration representatives from the Federal Benefits Unit are available between September 18-20 for discussions related to Social Security matters. Interested individuals can schedule appointments by emailing FBU.Warsaw@ssa.gov with "Bratislava Outreach" in the subject line.

For online registration and absentee ballot requests, citizens are directed to visit www.fvap.gov.

American Citizen Services at the U.S. Embassy encourages participation in this event aimed at providing valuable resources and networking opportunities for U.S. citizens residing in Slovakia.
