Conference on Middle East security imperatives to be held in Chennai

The Center for Asia Studies in Chennai, in collaboration with the U.S. Consulate General Chennai and supported by the Exchange Visitors Alumni Association of South India (EVAA), is set to host a one-day conference titled "Security Imperatives in a Changing Global Order: Recent Developments in the Middle East and West Asia." The event will take place at the GRT Convention Center, T. Nagar, Chennai.

The conference aims to address regional security concerns in the Middle East and explore long-term solutions beyond military interventions, which often provide only temporary relief. Discussions will focus on the roles of countries like India and the United States and proactive measures to ensure peace and stability through appropriate methods.

Security experts and academics from various regions of India are scheduled to discuss related issues and propose strategies for restoring balance and stability in the region. The panelists include Ambassador Ranjit Gupta, Dr. Robert Lloyd, Professor A.K. Pasha, Dr. K. Chatterjee, Ambassador Ganapathi, Prof. Sridhar Krishnaswami, Dr. Sujatha Ashwarya, and Dr. Kumaraswamy.
