Trump announces new cabinet appointments

President Trump has announced a series of cabinet and cabinet-level appointments. The nominations were sent to the Senate for confirmation.

Scott Bessent from South Carolina has been nominated as Secretary of the Treasury. Pamela Bondi, hailing from Florida, is set to become Attorney General. Douglas Burgum of North Dakota is nominated for Secretary of the Interior, while Lori Chavez-DeRemer from Oregon is chosen for Secretary of Labor.

Douglas Collins from Georgia is appointed as Secretary of Veterans Affairs. Sean Duffy from Wisconsin will take on the role of Secretary of Transportation. Peter Hegseth from Tennessee is named as Secretary of Defense.

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., representing California, is nominated as Secretary of Health and Human Services. Howard Lutnick from New York will serve as Secretary of Commerce, and Linda McMahon from Connecticut is selected for Secretary of Education.

Kristi Noem from South Dakota has been chosen as Secretary of Homeland Security. Brooke Rollins from Texas will be the new Secretary of Agriculture, while Marco Rubio from Florida is appointed as Secretary of State.

Eric Turner from Texas has been nominated for Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. Christopher Wright from Colorado will serve as Secretary of Energy.

Tulsi Gabbard from Hawaii is appointed Director of National Intelligence. Jamieson Greer from Maryland will be the United States Trade Representative with ambassadorial rank.

Kelly Loeffler from Georgia has been nominated to lead the Small Business Administration. John Ratcliffe from Texas will direct the Central Intelligence Agency.

Elise Stefanik from New York holds dual roles: she will represent the United States at the United Nations with ambassadorial status and also participate in sessions during her tenure there.

Russell Vought from Virginia is set to direct the Office of Management and Budget, while Lee Zeldin from New York takes on responsibilities at the Environmental Protection Agency.
