The discussions between Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield and Foreign Minister Kamikawa included continued trilateral coordination with the Republic of Korea. This collaboration aims to address issues related to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea's ballistic missile and weapons programs, as well as human rights concerns in North Korea.
Additionally, they discussed joint efforts with South Korea on various global matters. These include situations in the Middle East, Russia's conflict with Ukraine, Security Council reform, climate change, maritime security, emerging technologies, and initiatives related to Women, Peace, and Security.
