U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is set to embark on a diplomatic tour from February 11 to 16, visiting Amman, Ankara, Beirut, Cairo, and Kuwait City. The trip aims to strengthen ties and address regional issues.

In Jordan, Tillerson will meet with King Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein and Foreign Minister Ayman Al-Safadi. Discussions will focus on the U.S.-Jordan relationship and a new Memorandum of Understanding on bilateral assistance. Key topics include the Syrian crisis and Middle East peace efforts.

Tillerson's agenda in Turkey involves meetings with senior officials to discuss bilateral and regional matters.

In Lebanon, he will confer with President Michel Aoun, Prime Minister Saad Hariri, and Speaker Nabih Berri. The visit underscores U.S. support for Lebanon and its armed forces.

The Cairo stop includes talks with Egyptian officials about enhancing the U.S.-Egypt partnership and coordinating on regional issues.

In Kuwait City, Tillerson will lead the U.S. delegation at the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS Ministerial meeting and participate in the Iraq Reconstruction Conference. This marks his third coalition meeting since ISIS's defeat in Raqqa and Iraq's liberation declaration.

Tillerson plans to thank Kuwait for hosting these critical events aimed at ensuring an enduring defeat of ISIS while denying its global ambitions.

The Iraq Reconstruction Conference spans three days, focusing on private sector investment opportunities for rebuilding Iraq’s infrastructure. Tillerson will engage in activities promoting economic modernization in Iraq as part of international support efforts.

During his trip, Tillerson will also hold discussions with various senior officials alongside the Defeat-ISIS Ministerial and Iraq Reconstruction Conference.
