The United States is actively promoting online safety for children in Ecuador, coinciding with Children's Day. The initiative aims to prevent and combat the exploitation and sexual abuse of minors on the internet. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has developed the iGuardian project, which targets students, parents, educators, and law enforcement officials to raise awareness about the dangers children face in cyberspace.

iGuardian's primary goal is to safeguard children and teenagers from online predators through education and awareness. It seeks to create a comprehensive impact by involving children, teenagers, and their parents in its efforts.

In Ecuador, the U.S. Government has organized several awareness sessions for parents, university members, and teenagers across various locations. These sessions include expert recommendations on digital safety.

"Hyperconnectivity has made children and teenagers hyper-vulnerable," experts caution. They emphasize that "a lack of digital education in schools and a lack of dialogue at home" can increase risks for young people. Parents are encouraged to engage more actively in their children's online activities as a preventive measure against exploitation and abuse. "By establishing some rules and remaining vigilant," parents can significantly contribute to their child's protection.
