On April 8, United States Ambassador to Ghana, Gene A. Cretz, hosted a promotional dinner in Accra for U.S. beef. The event was attended by politicians, business people, and diplomats.

The Urban Grill Restaurant at Airport City served as the venue to highlight "U.S. beef proudly produced in the great State of Nebraska."

Ambassador Cretz expressed gratitude towards Nebraska's Governor Pete Ricketts for supporting the event and acknowledged contributions from the Nebraska Beef Council and Greater Omaha. He stated, "The United States is strongly committed to delivering high quality, safe, healthy food products to consumers all around the world, and U.S. beef is one of our 'super stars.' Sharing our cultural diversity remains just one of the bonds which form the close friendship between Ghana and the United States."

The promotion aimed to introduce U.S. beef as a high-quality product suitable for Ghana's evolving restaurant scene and neighboring West African countries.
