ING has provided an update on its ongoing €2.0 billion share buyback programme, initially announced on October 31, 2024. The company disclosed that it repurchased a total of 5,593,653 shares in the week spanning December 16 to December 20, 2024.

The programme aims to reduce ING's share capital. So far, the company has bought back a total of 45,266,817 ordinary shares at an average price of €14.97 per share.
