XY Retail, based in New York, has appointed Alberto Riva as Chief Revenue Officer and Daniele Nizzero as Director of Solution Strategy, EMEA. The appointment was confirmed to Business Wire to be part of the company’s efforts to meet the demand for its headless unified commerce platform.

In his new role with the omnichannel retail solutions provider, Riva will be responsible for leading and developing sales and strategic partnerships, and growing the company’s global presence, while Nizzero will be tasked with overseeing XY Retail’s solution strategy and consulting team in the EMEA region, as well as initiating partnerships with customers and partners, according to Business Wire.
A veteran entrepreneur, Riva founded Fortech in 1993, and contributed to Micros as its Managing Director of business in EMEA, and to Aptos, where he led the company's market expansion in Europe and its TXT acquisition in Milan.

Nizzero brings years of experience. He previously worked for Micros, where he is credited with making various sales and Xstore implementations across Europe. He then went on to work for Aptos, where he gained an understanding of new technologies, according to Business Wire
