Nike has confirmed plans to continue its 14-year partnership with Cognizant to help leverage its own technology operations, a press release reported.

"We are excited to help drive exceptional customer, employee and partner experiences at Nike by leveraging hyper-automation, AI and process re-engineering," Sushant Warikoo, head of Cognizant's retail industry business unit, said. "By bridging our retail industry and technology expertise together with our 14-year knowledge of Nike's business, we are able to equip them with the advanced IT capabilities required to support their global growth and ensure seamless technology experiences for all.”

The new agreement will leverage Nike's existing IT support functions in 230 locations across 40 countries. The collaboration will help Nike’s slate of customers and partners, as well as its 70,000 employees working in the Multilingual IT Customer Service, Deskside and Dispatch Depot, as well as Application and Infrastructure Support divisions.

Under the terms of the five-year deal, Cognizant has committed to assisting both Nike’s pool of customers as well as employees, through their technical inquiries, offering onsite and remote support across the globe on digital devices. The platform will also provide engineering and backend solutions for Level 1 & 2 support inquiries for Nike-related applications, such as mobile apps, computer software and the website.

Nike is globally credited with designing, manufacturing and marketing athletic apparel, equipment and accessories. The partnership with tech expert Cognizant is also expected to improve the authentic athletic footwear designer service productivity, reduce costs and help develop new self-service capabilities as it continues transitioning to a digital business model over the course of the next five years.

“Cognizant and Nike's collaboration is anticipated to continue furthering Nike's digital transformation momentum, which has been driven by a continued investment in capabilities that accelerate product innovation, unmatched brand distinction and deep personal connections with Nike consumers globally,” a recent press release stated.
