K16 Solutions to open offices in Amsterdam

The technology company K16 Solutions announced Jan. 23 it will open offices in Amsterdam.

"In just a short period of time, K16 Solutions has completely revolutionized EdTech by changing the way data is migrated, archived or integrated. It's clear institutions from all over the world are starting to catch on," said Steve Mildner, chief operating officer at K16.

"To live up to our commitment of excellence and superior service to our European customers, we felt it was vital to open an international office, so we could more quickly and effectively serve them in a manner that was most convenient for them," Mildner said.

With its innovative technology, the company has reached Australia, Belgium, Canada, Honduras, Ireland, Netherlands, South Africa, the United Kingdom and the United States.

K16 solutions helps with moving online content, such as coursework.

"California State University Fullerton partnered with K16 Solutions for the development of Moodle integrations with their proprietary platform,” Amir Dabirian, VP for IT/CIO, said on K16 Solutions' website

“Once the integration project was completed, we were able to begin moving courses in bulk from Moodle to Canvas and have already moved well over 10,000 courses with another large batch planned before the end of the year," he added. "Using an automated solution like SystemMigration has saved our faculty and staff countless hours that would have been spent transferring and repairing course content.”

K16 Solutions, a proprietary technology company, assists in the education sector by migrating LMS platforms, archiving online courses and student data, and replacing course content.

The University of Texas San Antonio Academic Innovation is using K16 Solutions to move its courses from using Blackboard Learning Management System (LMS) to Canvas LMS.

K16's technology continues to see fast adoption by institutions across the globe. According to the Jan. 10 release, its international business has seen 400% year-over-year growth from 2020 to 2021 and 650% year-over-year growth from 2021 to 2022.

“After spending a great deal of time getting to know K16's management team, long-term strategy, and technology, we're very excited about the opportunity to partner,” said Greg Finkelstein, managing director at Tyton Partners, in a news release.

"There is a clear need for cleaner, faster, and more cost-effective data migrations between platforms as well as integration options that offer a more 'real-time' look at all the data in an institution's tech ecosystem," he added. "The applications for this technology are endless, and I'm excited to personally work closely with the K16 team to drive this forward."
