PointsBet Holdings Limited, a mobile sports betting platform, has launched in Ohio, according to a news release.

"2023 is already proving to be a momentous year for PointsBet as today we have officially launched our mobile sports betting product in Ohio," PointsBet USA CEO Johnny Aitken said in a statement.

On Jan. 1, 2022, PointsBet Holdings Limited, a corporate bookmaker on the Australian Stock Exchange with operations in Australia, the United States, Canada and Ireland, announced its online and mobile apps are now live in the U.S., in Ohio. This launch follows many in surrounding states, including Maryland, Iowa and Michigan.

"We look forward to delivering the Buckeye State with new ways to enjoy their favorite sports through our market-leading app and expansive suite of Lightning Bet markets, especially with the NFL Playoffs and CFP National Championship kicking off in just a few short weeks," said PointsBet USA CEO Johnny Aitken.

Officially launched in Australia in 2017, PointsBet, a scalable cloud-based wagering platform, is a leader in live betting. Currently, it is the only one to offer Live Same Game Parlays, Pointsbetting and Name A Bet, allowing bettors to suggest their market to PointsBet traders for special pricing.
