Duravant president: 'Multiscan extends our reach into agri-food markets with intelligent inspection solutions'

Duravant LLC celebrated its most recent acquisition of food processing machine vision solutions provider, Multiscan Technologies, based in Alicante, Spain, according to a press release.

“Multiscan extends our reach into agri-food markets with intelligent inspection solutions that are highly complementary to Key Technology’s and WECO’s offerings,” Mike Kachmer, president and CEO of Duravant, said. “Their culture of innovation and customer commitment makes them a wonderful addition to the Duravant family.”

Under the terms of the deal, Mutliscan will help expand Duravant’s presence across “automated food processing and inspection categories with new complementary products, technologies and applications.”

With more than 25 years worth of contributions to the vision technology industry, Multiscan has developed vision and transport systems for automated sorting and grading of food products and inspection systems. Using its x-ray digital processing and information management software methods, the company has now expanded to over 35 countries.

Multiscan counts with the support of engineers, software developers and technical experts, paired with a network of distributors and integrators to offer turnkey solutions across Europe, the United States and Chile.
