Roku TV plans to launch in Germany this fall through its partnership with Metz Blue and TCL, a recent Business Wire press release said. Prices will be announced at a later time.

“People transition more of their entertainment time to streaming, while continuing to watch a significant amount of broadcast TV, so we are excited to launch Roku TV in Germany and offer a great experience for both,” Arthur van Rest, VP International at Roku, said in the release. “German viewers want the best possible TV experience, something that includes all their favourite entertainment, is easy to use, and gets them to what they want to watch as quickly as possible.”

Metz Blue and TCL Roku HD, 4K and 4K QLED TV models from 32 inches to 65 inches are set to become available in October.

Viewers served by the German market will now have access to thousands of free and paid streaming channels, with the option to select titles as a built-in universal search across the top channels. Other features include a free Roku mobile app, voice search and control, private listening, voice assistant compatibility and more.

The company will customize its offerings to allow German consumers to connect to satellite, cable or an antenna for live TV.

“Roku TV models offer consumers a robust selection of entertainment in a simple-to-use streaming experience, whether they love watching traditional linear TV or are avid streamers,” the release said. “On the customizable home screen, all traditional inputs and streaming channels come together, allowing users to personalize their TV the way they want it.”
