Winnitex recently announced that it is partnering with CHT Group and will utilize CHT's TUBINGAL RISE, the first fabric softener that uses recycled silicone, according to Winnitex's website.

TUBINGAL RISE, which is now available on the market, uses more than 60% recycled silicone waste, as well as renewable bio-based emulsifiers. Softener is a main finishing agent utilized in fabric manufacturing.

“This partnership is exciting because when it comes to sustainability, the focus is usually on sustainable materials, but chemicals and dyestuff are also integral components in fabric production,” Lachlan Lau, senior sales manager of Winnitex, told Winnitex.com. “We are so excited to incorporate this eco-friendly, recycled silicone softener into our fabrics and offer it to our retail brand and work-wear customers.”

CHT Group is headquartered in Tübingen, Germany. It specializes in sustainable and innovative specialty chemicals. The company has worked to develop "smart" chemicals for almost 70 years. CHT Group is a global leader in sustainable specialty chemicals and enabling ecological and economical textile production.

Winnitex, a family-founded company based in Hong Kong, manufactures dyed woven fabrics. The company has already utilized CHT's sustainable softener to develop fabrics, which are available now in their newest collections.
