World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) confirmed plans to continue its international expansion strategy with its new Europe-based NXT launch, scheduled to kick off in 2023, according to Businesswire.

“Following the success of our live events and talent identification efforts throughout all of Europe, we believe this is the perfect time to expand NXT beyond the UK,”  WWE Vice President of Talent Development Creative, Shawn Michaels, told Businesswire.

The company hopes to reach the success attained by NXT UK. Launched in 2016, the establishment has developed a roster, which includes Rhea Ripley, Doudrop, Gunther and Butch.

“NXT Europe will reimagine the brand and its talent pipeline with a Pan European focus,” Businesswire said.

The launch will follow the debut of NXT Europe’s premium live event, “Worlds Collide,” featuring NXT and NXT UK Superstars. The show will be presented live on Sunday, Sept. 4, at 4 p.m. ET on Peacock in the U.S. and WWE Network in other regions.
