Digital River product SVP: 'As an ISV partner of commercetools, we can now implement our technology-enabled services and expertise'

Digital River, based in Minnesota, has entered an ISC agreement with independent software vendor commercetools, a press release reported.

“We understand the complexities of global selling, and the need for brands to remain agile when evolving with customer expectations,” SVP of product at Digital River, Mike Penterman, said in the release. “As an ISV partner of commercetools, we can now implement our technology-enabled services and expertise to help their ecommerce platform provide the best experience for their global customers, while shouldering overall compliance, risk and tax burdens.”

Through this partnership, Digital River intends to strengthen its tax, payments, compliance and fraud mitigation offerings for B2C and B2B customers. Customers can now benefit from an innovative API approach, and an integrated approach of global commerce’s back-office functions.

The launch will also allow brands to grow their ecommerce business in more than 240 markets across the globe. The company confirms its ability to keep up with the “agility required to consistently adapt to shopper expectations.”

As the company retains rights to make online sales, it hopes to help vendors optimize their revenue, increase conversion rates, reduce development time for quick access to markets, customized customer experiences and global fraud prevention.

“Brands using commercetools can then focus on crafting unparalleled customer journeys and growing revenue. Additionally, the partnership offers a multitude of advantages,” the press release stated.
