Vuzix Corporation announced in a May 25 press release that it will participate in Augmented World Expo USA 2022 from June 1 to 3 at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, California.

Vuzix, which is a leading supplier of smart glasses and augmented reality (AR) technology and products, will showcase its technology at the largest conference and expo for AR, virtual reality (VR) and wearable technology in the world, according to the release.

The company will showcase its original equipment manufacturer (OEM) services for white label products, which are designed to enable customers and partners to accelerate time to market while eliminating engineering development design and manufacturing costs, the release stated.

“This OEM rollout gives all industry players access to Vuzix advanced waveguides and micro-display technologies to incorporate into their own designs,” according to the release.

Vuzix has 246 patents and/or patents pending, and internet portocol licenses in the video eyewear field, the company stated. It has won Consumer Electronics Show awards for innovation from 2005 to 2022. The company was founded in 1997 and has offices in Rochester, New York, Oxford, United Kingdom, and Tokyo.

During the expo, Vuzix will be at Booth 825 and will be joined by Signify, a world leader in lighting for the Internet of Things. Signify will share its Trulifi wireless light-based communication solution that can run on Vuzix smart glasses. It is designed to support business continuity through the industries of manufacturing, aerospace, hospitality, and defense.

“A main feature is its very low latency, which is key to the user-friendliness of smart glasses and augmented reality devices,” the release stated. “Trulifi's always-on, dedicated connection also ensures seamless handover throughout facilities, as well as high-level security and up to 220 megabits per second connectivity.”
