Amid tensions between Russia and Ukraine, Tikit.Info, a Ukrainian company, recently launched a new help desk and internal ticket system software solution.
The group of Ukrainian developers wrote code and prepared for the launch of their product during air raid sirens, according to a May 25 press release. The initial project launch date was March 1, which was five days after the Russian invasion.
“I do not know if I have a home to go back to anymore,” Svetlana P, a project manager, said on a team video call.
The team meets each day through video conferencing. For the last two years staff members have been creating and testing a customer service help desk and internal ticket system solution software.
Alexander, a member of the company, works daily from Ukraine despite the constant threat of attacks, the release stated. He said he is relived that the Ukrainian army has been able to push back the Russians in many areas but added that artillery fire and the sound of air raids are common.
Alexander also said he had to move when a bomb exploded near his apartment, sending shrapnel into his bedroom, and shattering windows, according to the release. He and his family were fortunate to get out unharmed, he said.
Another team member, Natily, sought refuge in the startup company’s office building, the release stated. She and Victor, another team member, hid in a basement for nine days as explosions erupted above them. They eventually ran out of food forcing Natily to flee Kharkov, however, Victor stayed behind.
The team released the help desk and ticket system software March 15. More information about the help desk, software and the company can be found on the Tikit.info website.
