Ni has opened a new engineering innovation center in Bangalore, India.
“As a fast-growing aerospace and defense technology hub, India is the ideal place for us to strengthen our investments, bring together the test and measurement ecosystem and support the initiatives of the local community through the EIC (Engineering Innovation Center),” said Luke Schreier, senior vice president and general manager of NI’s Aerospace, Government and Defense Business Unit, in a March 14 press release.
Founded in 2021, the engineering lab supports customers, partners and businesses interested in serving the local aerospace and defense market, the release stated. The newly established EIC will be used to make the introduction in India’s evolving market, train new engineers, and help clients streamline their testing processes to make them safer, faster, and more efficient.
Managed by a staff with more than 30 years of engineering experience, Ni now offers a platform that allows customers to see their systems live and obtain product knowledge before making an investment, according to the release.
“NI has been proud to play a vital role in ensuring our customers’ mission success while improving their reliability and efficiency in India over the last few decades,” Schreier said in the release.
Shitendra Bhattacharya, head of sales at NI India, said NI is a company focused on innovation and customers.
“NI believes in nurturing innovation and building a network that can help engineers deliver technologically advanced solutions at a much faster pace,” Bhattacharya said in the release. “The EIC is designed to help our customers, entrepreneurs and innovators in India cocreate for the nation and leverage the state-of-the-art applications that come out of this lab to serve the globe.”
