Corvus Insurance recently appointed Oliver Delvos to help lead its global expansion efforts.

The company announced in a Jan. 26 press release that Delvos will join the organization as its head of international and will be responsible for developing and implementing the company’s strategies.

"We're thrilled to add Oliver to the Corvus leadership team later this year as we continue to expand our global presence," said Phil Edmundson, Corvus CEO, in the release. "With his vast experience in European and Asian markets — as well as his experience in data and privacy risk — he's well-positioned to lead Corvus's international team and develop a winning global strategy."

The company, which is headquartered in Boston, hopes to expand into the United Kingdom, Middle East, Canada, and Australia, the release stated. Delvos will lead Corvus' Frankfurt, Germany, office, which is slated to open in the latter half of 2022.

Currently, Delvos leads global cyber underwriting for the Zurich Insurance Group, according to the release. As the Corvus head of international, Delvos will be in charge of developing the company's long-term operational and organizational strategy for global matters.

At Zurich, Delvos has worked in over 20 offices worldwide, the release stated. He has also worked with AIG's cyber underwriting team in Switzerland, Austria, and Germany. Delvos holds several degrees including a German degree in Business Law, a Master of Science from the London School of Economics (UK), and a Master of Laws (LLM) from Wellington University in New Zealand.
