Xerox Holdings Corporation announced Feb. 2 the acquisition of Canadian information technology service provider, Powerland, to build longer-lasting IT services within Canada and across North America.
With 25 years of experience, Powerland’s offerings will extend Xerox’s services and technology solutions including cloud infrastructure, hybrid cloud, cybersecurity, and end-user computing for businesses, according to a press release.
“Combining the talented teams of Powerland and Xerox IT Services provides a greater value proposition for customers,” Martin Bachant, president of Xerox, Canada, said in the release. “With support, information security expertise, and technology solutions from major IT manufacturers; We manage our customers’ technology so they can manage their business.”
Bachant stresed the importance of collaboration in today's competitive business environment, adding, “Today, the ability to quickly adapt to change and remain competitive requires a strong IT partner.”
Powerland received numerous honors in 2021, including Dell Marketing Partner of the Year North America, Nvidia Partner of the Year, HPE Service Partner of the Year, and Tech Data Circle of Excellence, according to the release.

In March 2020, Xerox acquired ITEC Connect, an IT service company based in the United Kingdom, and Digitex, a Canadian IT service provider, the release stated. In October 2021, Xerox acquired Competitive Computing, an IT service company in Vermont specializing in automation and digitization.
