Canadians soon will be able to buy Pulsar Plus as the Barcelona-based manufacturer embarks on plans to begin selling its vehicle chargers in the country.

Wallbox, a worldwide provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging and energy-management solutions, has aligned with Pulsar Plus to grow its service in Canada, a news release said.

Douglas Alfaro, general manager of Wallbox, North America, said the partnership arose after research indicated Canadians were interested in buying EV products.

“Studies show that nearly seven in 10 Canadians intend to make their next vehicle purchase an EV. As we are seeing more EV charging happen in the home, we made the strategic decision to enter the market with our smart home EV charger, Pulsar Plus, which has been specifically adapted for the North America market,” Alfaro said in a release. “Canada marks the 84th market for Wallbox globally and is an important milestone for our growth in North America. We look forward to supporting Canadians as they make the transition to sustainable transportation.”

Pulsar Plus' introduction to Canada comes on the heels of its introduction into the American market just a year ago, a news release said.

Wallbox products are already available throughout Canada, and consumers will be able to buy from its website this spring.

The news release said that Pulsar Plus is Wallbox’s best-selling home charger and works with all EVs, including Teslas, with elements that include flexible amperage setting, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, charge scheduling, power sharing and voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Home.

As a global tech company, Wallbox is intent on changing the way the world uses energy, so its focus is on giving users the power to control their consumption, reduce spending and adopt a sustainable lifestyle, according to a news release.
