A New York-based global leader in micro-mobility recently announced it is extending its partnership with an Australian company for electric two-wheeled vehicles.

Helbiz, the first in its sector to be listed on Nasdaq, will continue to partner with Vmoto Soco in Italy, according to a news release.

“The continuation of our partnership with Vmoto Soco further demonstrates our commitment to offering cities smart and sustainable mobility,” Helbiz CEO of Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Matteo Mammì said in the release. "This new supply of e-mopeds will allow us to expand our presence in the Italian territory, to ensure each community has the option for safe and efficient sharing services."

Vmoto Soco has pledged to add 2,000 electric mopeds for its Italian markets with Helbiz in an alliance that was cultivated in Milan, the release stated.

Vmoto Soco operates in over 29 countries throughout Asia, Europe, Africa, South America and North America, according to the release. The company has offices in China, the Netherlands and Italy.

Graziano Milone, president of strategy and business development for Vmoto Soco International, said the company is honored to continue working with Helbiz.

"We are proud to expand our partnership with Helbiz,” Milone said. “What started with our vehicles being used for Helbiz Kitchen operations in Milan, has now evolved into supporting cities with Helbiz’s sustainable ride share service. We are thrilled to support Helbiz in its mission of bringing electric mobility, and we are confident that Helbiz users will truly enjoy our vehicles."

The partnership will also allow the companies to cultivate a sustainable future and reduce pollution through the sale of green vehicles, according to the release.
