'World class leader' Electrical Components International acquires BHC Cable Assemblies

A leading supplier for electrical distribution systems and control box assemblies announced their acquisition of BHC Cable Assemblies, Inc.

Electrical Components International shared their excitement about the acquisition Jan. 10.

“The addition of BHC to our platform is aligned with our strategy to expand in high-value, high-growth markets,” ECI CEO Mike Balsei said in a Business Wire press release. “BHC is a market-leading company with a strong track record of providing tailored solutions to help customers solve their most complex challenges. We look forward to combining ECI’s global capabilities with BHC’s established position in its end markets.”

Specializing in various power and signal electrical distribution systems, BHC was founded in 1998, and manufactures a variety of items including electromechanical parts for medical, aerospace, and entertainment markets. The company also produces renewable energy and cable assemblies, according to the release.

The company's current management team will continue to oversee operations from their two Burlington, Ontario, Canada-based facilities, the release stated.

"We are incredibly proud of the business we have built over the past two decades and this is an exciting opportunity for BHC to reach even greater heights. Founded in 1953, ECI has 25,000 employees and operates 37 manufacturing locations, according to the release.
